Cartier Drive de Cartier
The Drive de Cartier was launched in 2016 as Cartier's first cushion-shaped men's watch, combining the maison's decorative heritage with an automotive-inspired design language referencing dashboard instruments and early racing chronographs.
The 40mm stainless steel case takes a cushion form with curved flanks, polished sides and brushed top surfaces. A synthetic spinel cabochon is set into the crown — a Cartier signature. The sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the case offers 30 metres of water resistance.
The silver dial carries painted black Roman numeral hour markers with an inner minute scale, guilloché decoration at the centre, and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock. A date aperture sits at 3 o'clock. Blued steel sword-shaped hands complete the composition.
Calibre 1904-PS MC is Cartier's in-house manufacture movement, with 27 jewels, a 28,800 vph frequency, and approximately 48 hours of power reserve. The double barrel design contributes to stable torque delivery across the power reserve window.
Presented on a brown alligator leather strap with a Cartier deployment clasp.
Very good condition from 2016 means approximately ten years of wear — expect moderate scratching on polished surfaces, dulling on brushed components, leather strap showing age and creasing, no significant damage. Complete as a full set with Cartier presentation box and warranty papers dated 2016. Manufacturer's warranty expired — covered by Pride & Pinion's twelve-month warranty.
A distinctive dress watch combining Cartier's design heritage with an in-house manufacture movement.
