Rolex Yacht-Master 226627

The Yacht-Master 42 in RLX titanium, introduced at Watches and Wonders 2023, marked Rolex's first use of titanium in its collection — a significant departure for a brand synonymous with Oystersteel and precious metals. The result is a remarkably lightweight nautical instrument that retains the robustness Rolex demands.

The 42mm case is machined from grade 5 RLX titanium, offering a 40% weight reduction over steel whilst maintaining exceptional corrosion resistance. The bidirectional rotating bezel features a matt black Cerachrom insert with raised, polished numerals — virtually scratchproof and unaffected by ultraviolet light. A sapphire crystal with Cyclops lens protects the dial, and the Oyster case is rated to 100 metres water resistance.

The black dial carries Chromalight luminous hour markers and hands, providing a long-lasting blue glow in low-light conditions. A date aperture sits beneath the Cyclops lens at three o'clock.

Inside, the calibre 3235 automatic movement features Rolex's Chronergy escapement with nickel-phosphorus pallet fork and escape wheel, a Parachrom hairspring impervious to magnetic fields, and delivers 70 hours of power reserve. Superlative Chronometer certified, tested to -2/+2 seconds per day.

The Oysterflex bracelet — an elastomer strap with a flexible metal blade core — provides exceptional comfort and durability, secured by an Oysterlock safety clasp in RLX titanium.

Good condition means visible signs of regular wear — expect scratching on polished surfaces, dulling on brushed components, possible desk-diving marks on clasp and bracelet, no significant damage. Comes complete with original box and original papers. Five-year manufacturer's warranty active.

A lightweight alternative to traditional Rolex steel sports watches, purpose-built for life on and off the water.
